“A Fish Story” When you tell a good fish story, and then you tell it again, the fish may be just a little bigger. As the story grows, so does the fish, until you have told a whopper! This fish is a Brook Trout, and may very well be the world’s largest brook trout sculpture. 24 feet long, and 9 feet all from top fin to bottom fin. Weighing in at over 2000 pounds, or a ton or so of fresh fish. Made from scrap metal, from rototillers to file cabinets, to old dumpsters, and industrial power washers, this fish means business. Stopped in a twisting jump out of the water, and headed for a massive splashdown. This is “A Fish Story”, but this one is really big! Commissioned by the city of Montrose, Colorado, and placed at the corner of N 9th, and N Grand in a roundabout, it may stop traffic. Colorful reds and greens dominate the sculpture, with hundreds of speckles of all colors scattered all over, the sculpture commands attention.
