“Self Reflection” – One of my most popular, as well as favorite sculpture to date.

This sculpture was originally built for a public art program, but upon completion, was sought after from a horse ranch in the eastern United States. Shipping costs and logistics stopped that direction at about the same time it was considered for a television commercial for Ford Motor Company. That one also fell through due to logistics. The sculpture spent a year in Grand Junction Colorado in their Art on the Corner Program.

It was sold to a local private collector after that. This life and half sized sculpture depicts the same thing a horse does day in and day out all of its life. Drinking water, and seeing its own reflection. It makes me wonder if a horse checks to see how it is doing every day as it sees itself. The piece is made from scrap metal, and the individual parts include bits, spurs, and many tools found around the ranch. It is in life and a half scale and was recently included as cover art for the novel Autumn and The Silver Moon Stallion.
